Gerard Butler is being considered for a role in 'A Star is Born'

'A Star is born ' is a story that has been around for over 73 years. The story has been re-made three times to date: 1937, 1954 and 1976. It has been over 34 years since the previous film was released.

Now that there is a whole new generation of people who are unfamiliar with the story. Time Warner is therefore planning to release the next remake of 'A Star is Born' in due course.

The story is about ambition, celebrity life, love, and tragedy. Basically an older celebrity takes a younger actress under his wing and coaches her to to fulfill her ambition as a successful actress. The two celebrities fall in love. However, the relationship is complicated by the guy's inability to deal with his declining career. 

The audience then witnesses the man's larger than life character spiral out of control as he turns to alcohol to deal with his inner emotions. Although worried for her partner's well-being, the girl made plans to quit her career to spend more time with him. However, the guy eventually kills himself because he is unable to deal with this burden. The story is a tragedy, and even though the story has been around for a long time, the themes within the story remain relevant to society.

The tale will be changed, and adapted slightly to reflect modern day culture as we know it.

Gerard Butler  has been added to the list of speculative actors who are being considered for the remake of 'A star is born' the movie (source: LA times). Other actors who are being considered for this movie include Russell Crowe  and Beyonce.

We will release more information once the official cast for 'A star is born' has been confirmed in due course.
