Gerard Butler  carried a Man Bag across customs at Nice Airport on May 23rd 2010.

The Man Bag was once considered an unusual accessory for men in the 1990s. For example, the writers of 'Friends' illustrated this cultural perception in episode 5.13  where Rachel (played by Jennifer Aniston from The Bounty Hunter ) gives Joey a Man Bag. Joey was ridiculed by his peers and lost a job opportunity as a result of The Man Bag.

However, attitudes about Men's fashion has changed significantly in last the last decade.

The Man Bag is now considered a practical and fashionable accessory for the modern man.
