Gerard Butler was spotted socializing and drinking even more coffee with friends, near Venice beach in California on Saturday 23rd January.
Gerard Butler mixed and match familiar items of clothings and accessories from his wardrobe. He wore his favorite sun glasses; favorite blue and black Nike sneakers, Abercrombie and Fitch jacket, and Military style combat shorts-which we saw him wear last year at Malibu Beach on January 7th 2009.

Gerard Butler was approached by various Gerard Butler fans throughout the day. A violinist who performed live on the side walk that night, made quite an impression on Gerard Butler (who currently does not have a girlfriend). Gerard Butler spoke with the mysterious violinist for quite some time and things gradually progressed with a Phantom kiss of the night.

Gerard Butler left the woman completely breathless and in awe. It is alleged that Gerard Butler walked away with her telephone number.
Some Gerard Butler fan's believe that the mysterious woman may well be a potential candidate for being Gerard Butler's girlfriend. [See Video footage of Gerard Butler kissing the violinist below]
However, some Gerard Butler fan's believe the paparazzi video footage has the words 'Publicity Stunt' written all over it.
Gerard Butler has always been very private and guarded about his personal relationships in the past. Some Gerard Butler fans find the emergence of a paparazzi video, showing Gerard Butler publically displaying affection towards a female street performer, as "suspicious".
Some Gerard Butler fans believe that the publicity stunt was planned in advance and staged in front of the paparazzi.
Some would argue that Gerard Butler's P.R agency has: (1) the Motive (2) the Opportunity (3) the Means to do so.
Motive:
The Bounty Hunter movie starring Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston is scheduled for release in March 2010. Some Gerard Butler fans believe that the PR agency set up this publicity stunt following the failed attempts to convince the mass media that Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston are romantically linked in an attempt to raise publicity for the upcoming movie.
Some Gerard Butler fans also believe that the PR agency wanted to crush "rumors" that Gerard Butler may be gay because Gerard Butler has been private about his love life. [Gerard Butler is not gay].
Opportunity & Means:
PR agencies generally have the knowledge, experience & means to influence and manipulate the press and media. The press and media are sometimes happy to play along with "bad sources", as the supply of content helps media owners fulfill their objective of selling news & gossip.
The public aren't stupid. Celebrity rumors are often ignored or treated with skepticism by the public due to an awareness that bad sources do exist in the media. In the publics eyes, celebrity news supported by photographic and video evidence tend to carry more weight in terms of credibility.
Therefore, PR agencies sometimes plan, stage and execute publicity stunts to achieve their goals.
An Analysis:
There is photographic evidence that prior to the violinist video footage being filmed, Gerard Butler was surrounded by acquaintances carrying video recording and professional camera equipment.
The photo below, shows an image of Gerard Butler's acquaintance taking a picture of the street performer's face. Some Gerard Butler fan's believe the guy was testing the camera phone for the 'real' shot. The other guy standing next to Gerard Butler has a massive professional photography camera strapped to his back.
If you view the paparazzi video below, you can see that Gerard butler's friends and 'acquaintances' have mysteriously vanished from the scene.
So the plot thickens. Gerard Butler fans continue to guess whether 'The Phantom Kiss of the Night' was actually, 'The Phantom's Stunt of the Night?'

Unfortunately, fame seems to come with this tabloid territory. To bad it has to happen to this seemingly nice guy!! But maybe he needs to have this happen to him in order to obtain any kind of fan following to grow his career!
I wish for him nothing but the best & hope that somehow, sometime this all gets sorted out & that he figures it all out. GB seems to be a really nice guy, looking to make a career for himself in the movie industry & I wish him all the best. I have recently enjoyed a retrospective of his previous works & have grown quite fond of him & his performances. I look forward to seeing how far he will go with his career & grow in his performance abilities! I am looking forward to his forthcoming projects.

Interesting how his two friends seem to "vanish". I hope that it was nothing more than a publicity stunt. And, if it does turn out to be a publicity stunt, it is a shame that he has resorted to this. Aside from being a wonderfully talented actor and one of the handsomest men in the world, he seems to be a really nice person. And I'm sure there is no shortage of women in his life. Hopefully this turns out to be nothing more than a practical joke.

I liked the way you left it up to us to decide.
I felt he did it,with the ladys' permission,to dispel rumors about JA.
There was allot of flak (against the couple rumors)until clips showed the BH movie put JA in a better light to Gerrys' fans.
And even tho they seem to be being shoved at each other still-it's seems clear his private life is just that. Off limits. And hope no one gets a look at who he really cares about until he and she feel like telling.
I do not think he traded his privacy for fame. Not purposely.
If you are the best plumber should you lose your privacy? Celebs like Paris H crave it-but that's all they have . He is talented. And has earned kudos in his craft. That is all he owes us.
It's time to flag PaPs photos inapropriate, buy his movies, boycott Trash Tabloids and make privacy laws for Celebs in America.
