Prosecutors have filed battery charges against Gerard Butler in a  Hollywood courthouse on Wednesday 13th May 2009.

The case is in relation to a scuffle between Gerard Butler and a photographer in Hollywood as he was leaving the RocknRolla premier on October 7th 2008.

In an interview, Alan Siegel, Gerry Butler's manager said they were forced to stop their car because the paparazzi endangered other users including two pedestrians in their reckless pursuit to capture paparazzi photos of Gerard Butler.

Gerard Butler faces up to six months in jail if convicted, according to LA city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan.

Gerry's attorney, Blaire Berk, said Gerard Butler is not required and will not be appearing in court on the charge....Article continued below
